Textalk engineer listed some common FAQ points about digital printers for reference

About digital Oval hybrid printing machine for garments

1. Q:What is the height of the mechanical limit between the trolley and the platen (the lower limit of the trolley’s descent)?

A: 2.5mm. If it is lower than this insurance value, there will be a risk of hitting the platen.

2. Q: What is the relationship between the two directions of the carriage and the height (the upper limit of the height of the carriage application)?

A: Starfire head – the maximum printing height for black cloth is 4.5mm, and the maximum printing height for white cloth is 5.5mm.

Kyocera/Ricoh head – 3mm (black cloth). If it exceeds this height, the ink dots will appear to float randomly as a whole. Thin lines are printed severely distorted; edges of color patches are slightly jagged. The relationship between bidirectional value and height: every time the height increases by 0.1 mm, bidirectional value -1 (guaranteed 90% correct).

3. Q: Printing height adjustment of the print head (the best printing height of the carriage – after-sales is generally adjusted according to the best standard)

A: Starfire/Ricoh head – 3.5mm (black cloth)/4.5mm (white cloth), Kyocera – 3mm. At this value, the ink performance is the best, and the printing accuracy is the best. If you increase the printing height of the carriage (two-way must be modified, the height will change if the height changes by 0.3mm, the two-way value will change), you must sacrifice speed for printing accuracy.

4. Q:Drainage problem of general air pressure valve

Solution: a. Frequently check whether the water storage bottle of the general air pressure valve has too much water.

b. If there is too much accumulated water and it is not treated in time, it will cause water to be mixed into the trachea, which will cause changes in the composition of the ink and cause the ink to be unstable.

5. Q:Lung negative pressure, positive pressure, negative pressure recommended range (expressed in KPA)

A: a. Lung -90KPA or so (pressure gauge shows 0.4~0.42MPA).

b. If the lung pressure is too low, it will not be able to remove the fine air bubbles in the ink, which will affect the smoothness of printing. If the pressure value of the lungs is too high, the lungs will be punctured and the ink will enter the trachea.

c. If the positive pressure value is too small, it will lead to the state that the ink cannot be pressed. If the positive pressure value is too large, it will cause the internal junction of the nozzle to be disengaged and ink will leak.

d. If the negative pressure value is too small, printing for a short period of time will seriously accumulate ink on the surface of the nozzle, resulting in disconnection or even ink dripping. If the negative pressure value is too large, it will cause the color to become lighter, and even the ink will flow back into the air pipe, causing backflow! ! !

6. Q:What is the gear selection of ink supply and retraction peristaltic pump?

A: Back pump 1 gear, ink supply pump 4 gears. If the ink supply gear is too large, it is easy to cause air bubbles in the ink cartridge, which will cause the ink to flow back into the air pipe. If the retraction gear is too large, it is easy to cause gas to enter from the nozzle, causing the filter screen of the nozzle to be blocked, and the air bubbles brought in will also circulate in the ink path, causing the filter to be blocked.

7. Q: What needs to be done to the scraper after scraping the ink?

A: After scraping the ink every time, you must use a watering can (cleaning fluid) to clean the scraper. If it is not cleaned in time, the ink will agglomerate on the surface of the scraper blade. With the next ink scraping, the agglomerate may enter the nozzle hole, causing the nozzle hole to be blocked. As time goes by, the piezoelectric ceramic sheet will be burned.

8. Q:When is the ink tank regularly cleaned?

A: 1 month If it cannot be cleaned in time, the ink coagulated rubber will enter the filter along with the ink supply, causing the filter to be blocked.

9. Q: What is the reference setting range of print head voltage and pulse width?

A: 25PL voltage 90~95V, pulse width 8.5~9.2; 12PL voltage 105~110V, pulse width 5.7-6.3 (Starfire) Kyocera/Ricoh print head – set according to waveform If the voltage changes, it will lead to the uniformity of the color block and the color difference. If the pulse width changes, it will lead to the accuracy of the ink drop point, which will affect the printing accuracy.

10. Q: Cannot use “Center Print”

A: If centered printing is used, the X coordinate setting will be invalid, and the correct printing margin of X cannot be set.

11. Q: Cannot use “Y continuous printing”

A: If Y is used for continuous printing, the Y coordinate setting will be invalid, and the correct printing margin of Y cannot be set.
